Thumbs down OK so I had the tranny rebuilt and now it seems like its running hot.

Its 95 here today and my tranny was hitting 180 on the guage and I just driving in town. This only had 500 miles on it and it has the Mag-hytec pan and it seems like it runs hotter now then it did before the rebuild and extra 7 qts of fluid capacity. Also started shifting funny today, could I have a sensor going out on the tranny now.

If it was rebuilt at a shop. It should be under warranty. I would take it back to the shop.

But the temp seems ok. It is warmer outside. So it will be a little hotter then in the colder months.

Also city driving works the trans more. I see hotter temps driving in the city then when I get on the highway. The stop and go driving of the city makes the trans work more.

What kind of rebuild? added clutch pacs? etc, if you had all that done, it is running higher pressures and the temps will be up a little, if you don't have a 6.0 cooler, get one and put it on, that will make a huge difference.

Tony do you know where I can get one local. I priced a couple ford shops and they want $500 I tried wabash ford online and I cant get him to contact me back. His was $368 for 31 row.

Can I get with you on some custom tunes.

Cleaned up all my eltronics with sensor cleaner and installed new ICP and im running pretty good. That icp sensor really helped my gas mileage and engine vibration its way smoother now.

Texas Transmissions - they were recomended by a guy at work and lets just say I will not be going back there. I think they did ok, but that all just ok and not a whole lot of attention to detail. LIke grease on my seat etc. I should have went to BTS but it wasnt in the budget but I ended up spending $3780 with my Mag-hytech pan & 6.0 31 row tranny cooler and sales tax.

I think it more my tune that I was un happy with I am waiting in Wildman to get me some custom tunes and I think that will help.

You could have got a BTS for a little more!
A big trans pan is usless just takes more time to heat then cool the fluid. Big waste of $$.

Tunes will not help trans temps!..have you checked the trans fluid flow? Your sig shows a 6.0 cooler so your temps should not be that high unless your pulling and its 100* plus!

If they instaled a HD TQ did they mod the pump properly?
