4 wheel drive problem
whats up guys. i was driving home from work the other day and my front end makes this rubbing noise. its extreamly loud and it almost sounds like my brakes. but on saturday i was at the best in the desert races and i was trying to back up a kind of soft hill. so i threw it in 4 wheel and my buddy said that my front tires werent spinning at all and i dug my *** end into a slight hole. so im thinking that the noise i heard earlier might have had something to do with my 4 wheel drive. oh and the rubbing noise happens randomly, it doesn't matter really what speed and even if i let off it continues. any help would be awesome! thank you guys!

I have the same problem, I have the switch on my dash and the other day i was messin around in some deep snow and kind got stuck in 2wd then fliped the switch to 4wd and wasnt going anywere.... well needless to say go got unstuck by some fancey foot work and dont know whats going on.... I dont know whats going on. so the other day i was in town and stoped by schawbs and had them pull off my frount tires and take the caps off so i can access my hubs, the were in auto. so i dont know what to say. i guess I will flip the switch on the dash then get out and lock my hubs in and see what happens. next time...

had a similiar problem with mine about a year ago. Turns out the manual locking switch in the hub itself popped out of the hub and the caps were the only thing keeping it from coming out.
Bought a new o-ring and retainer kit and put it back together, now it works fine. Kit cost like $10 or something |
