F-250 pay load capacity?

My truck is a 2002 F-250 with 143,000 on the clock. I normally carry 2,000 pounds of feed and it squats pretty good. I just don't want to break anything I cant afford to fix.

i presume that you are putting your load directly in your bed vs a trailer. 2k lbs is about all it can handle. you put much more and you run the risk of breaking stuff.

I don't know for sure but I've had 3500 pounds of scrap metal in my bed before with no problems.

I looked it up on google for ya. On one site it said 3440 and the other said 3380. I guess it depends what springs you have.
