front diff. inner seals

My front diff. Seals are leaking says the mechanic. The problem is i dont want to pay his price. Is this something i should be able to take care of myself or just too much work? maybe if someone has a link of some kind of instruction or video that would be great. Thanks in advance for any answers.

Its doable... but very labour intensive... So much that I've been putting it off for about a year.

They are the first thing you put in when you rebuild the differential.

Yep, not hard just a bunch of work. You need to pull the hubs, knuckles and shafts. Pop the cover off, mark the caps for side and direction then remove them. Stick a rag which will get shredded between the ring and pinion, turn the pinion till the carrier comes loose and be ready to catch it. Pry out the seals, hammer in new seals and stick everything back together.
