Play in the carrier bearing ?? Ok or not ?

I was doing a rear diff oil change today and noticed the seal is leaking.....the rubber around the carrier bearing looks squished a little and I can move the shaft up and down maybe 3/16 or so. Is this ok or do I need to replace the carrier bearing ?

I also feel a vibration ( feels like from the rear of the truck) when I am driving on the freeway could this be from the drive shaft bearing ?

Truck is new to me so I am not sure of what it feels like just yet.

The truck is a 2000 F350 SD DRW 4x4 CC lariat.

Thanks for any and all help.

Mine did this when I got it. Had it rebuilt at a driveline shop for a hundred bucks. I could feel mine at every start and stop so I would assume if it's moving it will get worse. How fast that is I'm not sure as I also bought mine with the issue.
