Bouncing Speedo, But ONLY When Stationary
So this is my first post. I've been a member on here for a couple years and have done a lot of reading. I've searched a lot of threads on this bouncing speedo issue. Pretty much all of them were corrected by replacing the speed sensor on the tranny and/or the sensor on the diff housing. I have replaced both with no change.
Here's what's weird about my issue. It only happens when the truck is stopped and when your foot is on the brake. I could be in park, neutral, reverse or drive; as long as the truck is stopped it bounces between 0 and about 15 mph. As soon as I left off the brake it goes to 0 and stops bouncing. As soon as I start driving, the speedo works just fine and the tranny shifts with no issues. The issue only happens when your foot is on the brake and the truck stopped. Even just sitting in the driveway. I can start it and leaving it in park, but as soon as I put my foot on the brake it starts to go to 15 mph and bounces from there to 0. Sometimes just stays at 15.
I am not sure where to go from here. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Truck is 2001 F-250 Super Duty. 144k miles if that helps any.
