Another Tranny Problem

tstroke man thats cheap when you conciter the tork is about 800 ford charjed me 5000 and its stock i feel jiped.

Sorry tstroke, I went to AAMCO Transmissions. They are a nationwide tranny shop. Now I know yall might be sayin or thinkin well you did not get sun coast parts. You don't have the sun coast tripple disc converter. Well I gotcha on this one, I asked for sun coast. They gave me sun coast. I seen all the packages from the new parts they installed in my tranny. I was the only PSD they were working on at the time. I seen the packages, the only part number I referenced was the one for the triple disc converter and it is the correct part number. Tell me if this sounds right. 1,000 in parts, the rest was labor and tax. It took them 3 days to do the build. I dropped the truck off to them last monday they ran tests on it on tuesday and the results pointed to burned up trans mainly 2nd and 3rd gear clutches. But being those clutches were bad it contaminated the rest of the trans. By the time they actually tore down the trans they found out that the sprag gears were basically gone. There for they rebuilt the complete trans. So they took it out on wednesday shut down for the holiday returned to work on monday tore down on monday and rebuild on monday, install on tuesday and had my truck back at the cob on tuesday. 1703.00 out the door. The big guy at the shop said I robbed him because the guy that wrote up my estimate wrote it where the shop basically did not make any money on the build. Not my fault some one screwed up the paper work. So the guy Randy who is the big guy at the shop honored the quote of 1700 dollars and fixed my truck. Oh by the way I got the sun coast valve body upgrade as well. You know where they revalve the valve body to raise line pressure and make it have firmer shifts. Man this truck runs better then new.

Yeah that is a heck of a price!! Most shops I know double the price they pay for the parts then charge around $70.00 hour labor.I am glad to hear that they honored the quote and gave you that price. Sounds like you found your transmission shop.
