Hub replacement

I just got a smoking deal on a Timken front hub assy. from Amazon. It was half the price of the going rate for them on there due to it being a return. Unit showed up and looks brand new. I bet the person needed the fine thread setup and ordered the wrong one so returned it. Anyway, after ordering the unit I realized that I should have just ordered the knuckle seal and install tool (otc 6695) from them too as their prices are real good for these items but didn't think about it till yesterday and I want to get this done this weekend. Does anyone know the best way to get the correct depth of the seal using the steel pipe/floor flange method? Also, what parts store should I purchase the knuckle seal from (Napa, Autozone, Advance)? I don't want to purchase from the stealership if I can just get an oem equivalent from some place else. Thanks for any advice/help you guys may offer.

JC
