both rear spindles where leaking on my 2001 platinum f250 so i went into them. went through the first and found some one had been there before me and jacked the nut up, a $40 i didnt want to have to spend. repacked and changed seals, and reinstalled. went to the next side and removed everything and thats when i realized it. this side had the oil slinger in it, the other side that is all back together didnt! i totally forgot about it when it wasnt in there when i disassembled it. how important is that darn slinger. it wasnt in there all this time. can i get away with it until i need to go back into it? i will hate going back in and buying another seal to put a slinger in there! thanks guys
