Little hard to steer!!!

Ok so my 02 F250 is mainly used to pull the toy hauler and to use for around the house but bottom line not my only vehicle as I have a commuter car so mileage on truck has been very little for the past 2 yeairs.

So anyway yesterday morning loaded the family up to make a couple a errands in the truck and I backed down the driveway and I hear this clunk and I was like WTF. So I wanted to get out of the street so I put in drive and move forward a few feet and this is what I found....

Well so much for taking the truck to make some errands and pick up a couple of craigslist finds..... Yeah it appeared that there was a crack there already but holy **** I'm glad it happen where it did vs going down the freeway with family and hauling 12k lbs.

So onto the replacement of my steering box. I know Red Head is the one to go with but will I really see the difference vs Red Head and Les Schawb or any other rebuilt unit? I know if it was my only vehicle and I was putting lots of miles on it I would do the Red Head for sure but like I said I probably put 5,000 miles a year. So will I regret not going with Red Head?

Thanks

BTW I'm in the Seattle area so shipping from Red Head is not an issue.
