Hard to get out of 4wd
I have a 99f250. It has the auto hubs that don't work, I have to manually turn them when I need 4wd and of course turn the switch on the dash. When it is time to unlock the hubs, I do so and turn the switch back off on the dash. I use it in 4wd low and it is hard to get out of gear. I drove it 2 miles home and it finally got out of low gear when I cranked it up to move it? Thanks for any advice and help.

You need to be stopped with your foot on the brake and tranny in neutral to go in/out of 4low

Thanks, the only other 4wd I ever had was a 79chevy luv with manual locks and a shift lever inside. That was in 1985-man those were the days! Thanks, I'll give that a try. This truck had no manual with it.
