Manual transfercase linkage

So I am converting from a electric transfercase to a manual but am confused on how the linkage mounts up. I attempted to mount it the only way that it seems to fit together but it hits. Does anyone have a pic of how there's mounts?

Might have found the answer. The linkage I have is from a gas truck which I though was the same as a diesel as long as the trans was the same... Turns out there are different part numbers for both. I wish my manual listed the whole p/n rather than just the universal part that applies to all combinations. I will experiment a bit more when the sun comes up but I think I can make it work by leaving out the lockout for low and neutral and moving the main body to the forward hole. Might need to extend the rod to make it work.
