shudder while i turn

on my 01 psd i have noticed that when i turn there is a light shudder it doesent matter the speed of what you turn but when you accelerate it seems to get a little worse until you get straight again and then no problems. this dosnt seem like a big problem cause it hasnt seemed to get worse or better and its not like it shakes you out of the cab its more annoying that anything but i just thought i would see what you guys thought cause i would kinda like to know what it is i cant seem to figure it out
thanks

ya i would have to agree its not very consistant i can really notice it after i get off the interstate but it still doesent get really bad but i have noticed that my shockes in the back are leaking but i dident think that they were connected to my shudder problem i mean i know that they are bad but i guess i just wasnt thinking that but i have been known to be wrong before lol

I have had a shudder in my '08 from day one, but it only happens with a big trailer hooked up. I suspect mine is in the rear end, anybody else have this when pulling a heavy trailer?

Yours, I would bet is the slip yoke on the drive shaft needs grease. Not sure if an 08 has a zerk but my 95 and 01 don't, so I must pull the shaft down to grease it. When I had them down I drilled and installed zerks so I don't need to pull the shaft now. Ford has a special grease for this that you may want to get for your brand new truck but I just use my grease gun.

This could well be the trouble for all 3 trucks in this thread but I am not as sure on the 2 that do it when turning. It would be worth checking for sure.

Figure out what this is/was yet?

Mine does this when turning and is worst when I am turning up a steep incline and continues to do so until I straighten up again? Any help with what you found would be great.

Thanks,

B

I get the same thing in my 00 Excursion. Going straight is fine but but fron a stop on turns it shakes like the rear brakes are not disingauging. Had the brakes check and all is OK. Could it be the limited slip in the Diff?

Another string I read they just added some SlipLock to diferential and it fixed it...... Synthetic Transmission Fluids by Amsoil and Modern

I am planning on doing this, just have not gotten to it yet.
