I bought neapco PDQ from advanced for locations 4 5 & 6 on thier diagram. I will let you know as soon as I change them. Craig was your truck doing the same thing ours is doing, and all you changed was one and it was fixed?

the first one solved the immediate problem, but stiffening and repairing this one sent the other one bad soon after. these were both on the rear drive shaft. you should not need to change the front drive shaft unless you feel it in 4wd. good luck and let me know.

Hopefully these will fix your problem and you wont have to buy a carrier bearing. I have put about 800 miles on mine since I changed the rear u-joint and havent had any more trouble.
PS: If anyone needs a carrier bearing I still have a new one that I cant use.

They will either have excessive play in them or they could be possibly froze up. Make sure you check both ends of the drive shaft.

Rwalker, I just got through changing my u-joints I bought 3 to change all three and while changing the first one had a needle bearing fall flat. After removing to straighten the fallen needle, all needles fell out. So one junked, I ended up changing the back 2 on my very back drive shaft. I drove from my dads at about 45mph no vibration so I went to the Interstate and drove to my house running from 65mph to 75mph and no vibration I still have a slight roar but nothing compared to what it was before R&R of back 2 u-joints (barely noticable). When I removed the very rear u-joint 2 caps looked ok the other 2 didn't even have needle bearing left in them the rubbers on all 4 were all trash. Changing the u-joints solved my problem I will change the last one as soon as I can. 40$ is better than 300+$!! Get real big hammer!

Thank you everyone for the comments.

Shane
