put the emergency brake on and put the truck in nuetral. this is the only way the slack from bad u joints will be noticed.

when looking at the u joints, the seals are sometimes pushed out and or torn if the joints are bad.

I went by Autozone and all they had was non-greaseable ujoints Bigcountry says advanced has them for 11.00 greaseable. I will go there today at lunch.
When I switch from Rev. to Drive or visa I have a clunck, also when I'm coming to stop and just gliding in before applying the brake I hear a grinding noise not continuous but intermitten so I think it is ujoints binding at a certain point. I will change them before I bring to a driveline shop and pay 300.00 plus for what they think, then if that doesn't work then I will try driveline shop.

I picked up 3 from advanced today at lunch $33.00. I've been working OT so I will not get to change till this weekend and I will post how it goes.
