On mine, I just rotated the down pipe. If you think somethings loose, you just need to crawl underneath and start looking and listening.

For me it was just that clamp at the bottom of the downpipe (about halfway down the firwall next to the tranny bell housing). I felt it and it just free spun around the pipe. Broke it getting it off but once I got it off, grinding noise stopped.

same noise but when i start to hear it if i put it in four wheel drive it instantly goes away is this my hub assembly also my axle shaft by the yoke has alot of paly on both sides
