manuel tranny wont go into reverse

Last night it was about 20 degrees outside and i started my truck to let it warm up. once it was warm i tried to put it into reverse and it wouldnt go in. first also seemed a little tricky to go in but i was able to get it moving. this morning i tried again to get it to go in reverse after driving for a while and the tranny should have been warm by then and it still would not do it.
the rest of the gears are fine, i have not tried low so i dont know if it goes into that gear or not. any ideas and possible tranny shop costs?

yes but it is slightly better. i drove it for about 45 minutes straight today and when i parked in the driveway and tried to put it in reverse, with a little finess and a little more pressure than i like i was able to get it in reverse once
