Problen changing ball joints

I have just changed out my ball joints on passenger side and trying to put it all back together My snap ring on my axle is wont fall in to the grove.It is like the axle needs to come out 1/16 or like there is to many shims.I replaced all the seals while I had it apart.Any help would be great

I have heard of this before. Cure that I have read is to simply pry on the axle a bit to get it to come out until the snap ring seats.

Did you replace the knuckle seal? If so, make sure that is seated to the correct position. If not, I would just give the axle a little tug outward until the ring seats.
