Rearend problem

I have a 1999 f250 7.3 powerstroke. Its 4x4 and has the 10.5 rear axle with 3.73 gears. I was backing out of a spot and it stopped moving like the diff tied up. I moved forward and then back again and it was fine. I was wondering if anyone had ideas on if its just bearings or maybe the ring and pinion or anything else.
Thanks
Jake

If you really think it's the diff, pull the cover and look for a chip off one of the gears.
