4r100 stranger issue..Plz help!

Hey guys my buddy is having some trouble out of his 4r100 in his stock 00 7.3 F350. The truck has around 220k miles and was suppose to have had the trans rebuilt when he purchased it. Well the truck has been doing great strong smooth shifts great no strange shifting really just shifted like it should. Heres where it gets interesting,we backed the truck out of my garage from fixing the tailgate and when backing out he barely hung the front tire on a wheel scotch sitting in the parking lot and didnt know it. Well it backed up and over the scotch and we got out of the truck to see what it was he had ran over,when we got back in the truck the OD light was flashing and when we tried to pull it forward it was like it would try to move then stop pulling..??So we shut it down and restarted it and it has been doing great ever since. The engine and trans was cold for it had been sitting for several hours so I thought maybe it was cold and the vb didnt build up all the pressure for reverse and putting it in that little bind caused it to slip and throw the OD light but I dont know. Is the trans on its way out or what? Could this just be where truck was cold that caused this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
