truck shakes between 45 and 55mph
its a e99,cc,lb (in my sig.) with 6 in lift and 37 in tires. ive had a shake in what i believe is the front end because i can feel it in my steering wheel and dash between like 45 and 55mph. it started off being not that noticable but now its gotten alot worse. anyone got any ideas where i should start throwing new parts in? im probably gunna start with u-joints just cuz ive never done them in this truck and have had if for a couple of yrs. any suggestions are welcome.
thanx in advance. |

It sounds like you are getting the "Death Wobble".
Check all your steering components, most likely it is one or more of your steering joints wearing out and getting excessive play in it. It could also be ball joints worn out or something as simple as your tires needing balancing or a front end alignment.

You don't want to have any play in them at all, the joints should stay snug when you turn your steering wheel back and forth. |

I currently have the same symptoms, but when I let off the gas it goes away. Also if I put it in drive it goes away. I recently had the rear end rebuilt(200 miles ago), could that be the issue?
