4x4 wiring problem?

hey guys im new to this forum iv looked all over the internet and couldent find anyone having a problem like mine

basicly what happening is my 4x4 dosent work
the t case shifter motor was replaced and that dident fix my problem
when the 4x4 switch on the dash is turned the shifter motor dosent recieve power therefor desent move and the dummy light in the dash dosent light up but if i hook the motor straight to a battery it works great
iv checked every connection i could find and cleaned them and checked the wires
i also pulled the 4x4 switch out of the dash to check connections and noticed that theres a small lightbulb in there that is burnt out would that cause a circut break ? if you have any ideas of what i can do next please share

any help would be really great
thanks guys

Does the 4x4 light in the dash come on? Possibly the switch is bad. I don't think they are very expensive

4wheeldrive control Module. It is behind the glove box under the dash. I had to replace mine in my 2002 F-250. Or you have a wiring problem. I ended up having a broken wire in the main harness coming from the pcm to the chasis harness under the hood on the firewall. But my Control Module was bad as well.

thanks ill look for broken wires before i replace anything . the plug that goes into the shifter motor was pretty corroded so i cleaned it as good as i could and still nothing works, if its going to cost a grand to fix ill just leave it as a 2wd afterall the truck has 455 000 km on it and still runnin strong

could this module let it go in 4H but not 4L? mine works in 4H but nothing in L, no lights in dash, change in speed, etc.
