transmission, transfer case, or electrical problem

all right any help or ideas would b great. i was drivin home and when i was goin up a hill i decided to step on the gas and immediately after i heard a loud pop and could move anymore i rolled to a stop and every gear i put it in it wouldnt move i tried 4 high and 4 low and nothing but it was to easy to shift it into both of them so i figured transfer case but i drained the fluid and it was clean no metal shavings didnt even smelt burnt at all then i checked tranny and completely clean then i checked codes and 2 stuck out to me they were powertrain control keep alive memory and torque converter solenoid circuit electrical. any one have any ideas it would b greatly appreciated it.
