Grinding noise/vibration not all the time
I have a 2000 f250 cc 4x4 i recently purchased. I put new tires on it around 1000 miles ago and now i think about it i don't remember hearing this sound. The truck only makes this sound on and off when i'm up and running around 50-55 miles per hour. The noise comes and goes..... sometimes worst than other times. It's like a low grinding sound with a vibration i feel thru my foot while on the pedal. Besides maybe being the tires.... is there any other place i need to check out. Thanks in advance !

First thing I would do is to lock the front hubs In and see if it makes that noise again.
There are needle brgs in the hub that support the stub axle when in the hubs are Free and they will give you that kind of symptom when bad. Locking the hub In, so the stub axle now spins with the hub, by-passes those brgs and if the noise goes away, you've found the problem. It's an easy, cheap fix if that turns out to be it

Good recommendation....I am going to try that myself. My noise is occasional also. Good advice....I'll try on my way home from work this evening.
