4wd issues

OK I just bought an 01 250 4x4 and I went to test the 4wd today and to my surprise it didn't work. Truck only has 70k on it. I was doing some reading and it sounds like the vacumn lines seem to be a pretty notorious problem with the auto selector which mine has. When I switch it into 4wd only the passanger side will spin. I haven't tried putting it in lock position yet because I have to take the wheels off because of the rim cap is blocking it. Does this sound like a typical vacumn leak or what? And where should I look for the leaks. Sorry I'm a newb

Pull the vacuum line off one side of your hub and plug it. Leave the other side in auto lock, then test in 4wd. If it works you know the o rings on the side you disconnected are bad. If not, reinstall that side and repeat on the other side. If still nothing, you have a leak else where.
