e99 driveshaft issue.

I have an early 99 super cab long bed. Its got a rancho 10 inch lift. I could be completely wrong but it seems like the rear driveshaft is too short because of the lift. It does have a "shimmed" carrier bearing to keep everything straight. The slip joint has basicaly wore itself out. I can actualy shake it from side to side so its time for replacement. Im just wondering if this is common for 130k miles. Or if anybody else out there has had to have custom length shafts.
