Front Drive Shaft ? Again

Ok so this is getting confusing. Someone stole my front drive shaft. I am having difficultly locating the proper replacement at at wrecking yard. They all tell me to measure mine, well that is a problem. They tell me to measure between u-joint and transfer case flange. I come up with over 40 in. The yards all say the ones they have measure about 39 so they will not fit.
My truck is a 2000 F250 7.3 supercab. automatic. 142 in wheelbase.
Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

You hae a D50, the D60 found in later years is a bit larger and uses a shorter shaft. You need to look for one out of a 99-00 some 01's will work too.
