Front drive shafts interchangeable?

I need to replace the front drive shaft on my 2000 f250 7.3L. Will the drive shaft from another2000 F250 work regardless of the engine or does it have to be from another 7.3?
Thanks.

You will need to measure it before going to the junk yard. Auto/manual use different lengths as do the D60's found in all DRW and SRW trucks after 01. Engine shouldn't make a difference.

lol thanks, but I cannot measure mine. Someone has "removed it". So I guess I should look for one from an extremely similar truck.
