Brake pedal not coming clear up, brake light stays on

The brake pedal appears to be staying down just enough to keep the brake lights on in my truck. We're talking maybe a 1/16" down. Is the only solution to replace the brake light switch? I assume it has a spring that is supposed to push the pedal back up just that tiny big for the switch to turn off. Is that correct?

I was going to lube the brake pedal pivot, but it doesn't look like there's an easy way to get any oil into the bushing.
