35" tires, hopped curb, now shifting early into 3rd
So I added 35 x 11.5 x 18 onto my 02 2wd auto powerstroke truck on Sunday. I was coming to work this morning and hopped a curb doing about 40 ish. When I came down off the median I stopped and checked out the tires, the underbody etc. Didn't see anything wrong. Counted my lucky blessing and got moving.
My truck always shifted on its own @ 35mph into I assume 3rd. After i hit the curb it now shifts @ 30mph. There's no lights on, it shifts others gears fine, and nothing seemed broken.
Should I be worried ? Now that i hit the curb, its shifting 5mph sooner into gear, and it drops down to like 1100rpm. It still accels fine. I tow about 7k pounds once a month, I don't want my trans to crap out on me. I have 217k miles on the rig and never had any drivetrain problems other than a bad map sensor.
