new clutch, rough take off / shaking - 99 7.3 zf6
so i just put a new clutch (south bend 1939df) in about 2 weeks ago. new pilot and throwout bearings, resurfaced flywheel. it drove nice and smooth for the first 20 miles give or take, but on the way home from work one day it got rough all of a sudden when i took off and its been doing it since that day. checked all u joints and they all check out fine, greased the rear drive shaft splines and it still does it. didnt do it with the old clutch. been driving like a granny since new clutch went in. anyone else have this happen. getting tired of putting money into this truck. any help would be appreciated as it is my dailey driver. thanks

rough
Well maybe you have allready looked. But check for loose bolts on the driveshaft and everything you can see. Once we had a clutch changed on our company f250 and the bolts were so loose they were backing out, the bolts holding the drive shaft to the t case! Long shot but just an idea.

All bolts are nice and tight. One thing I forgot to add is if I slip the clutch it takes off smooth also if I slowly let the clutch out and let the truck move by its self and then give it gas its kind of smooth
