rear hub leak

After replacing hub seal twice I have decided that the fiber type will not hold synthetic grease. Problem is I have already removed factory wear ring. the new skf seal i aquired from nappa is a rubber lip type but came with no wear ring . Any one have any experience with this or know if it will be fine with no wear ring? 2001 f 350 2wheel drive

Okay found retaining nut had came off. replaced nut and seal still leaking. does anyone have any thoughts on this issue? Or know any thing about the factory wear rings.
