Transmission leak......someone help me I'm stumped
Revised post:
Sunday I noticed a pretty good amount of tranny fluid on the ground after arriving at the in-laws house. I crawled under the truck and noticed fluid all over the place. I cleaned everything off real well with brake cleaner and drove it again. I noticed a small leak from the pan gasket so I changed it. Drove it to work today, fluid all over the place again. Today I noticed a small amount of fluid coming from the inspection plate for the torque convertor. The thing that has me stumped is there is fluid on top of the trans and some that is even back over the rear where it bolts to the transfer case. I do not know if driving could cause this to blow back over these parts or not. I am thinking its a front seal but I do not know for sure. I was wondering if anyone could give me some ideas. Theres a vent tube that can pouyr fluid out of the top if its getting too hnot. I had a friends do itg everfy time in low 4wd while pulling a big trailer in the fields. I know u r not doing that but maybe the cooler is clogged?? His did this on several occasions. I also had another guy ask me about it cause his overflowed.
