Hi everyone!

Im new to the site, and I am also new to powerstrokes... I needed a truck to start pulling with and the best value/reviews was the powerstroke. I got a great deal on a 180k late 99 crew cab long bed.

When I bought it, it had a vibration like I said in the title. During the test drive I was looking at other things besides that because to owner said it was the wheel bearing...

After I buy it, on my way home I payed more attention to the type of vibration. It only occurs when accelerating, its worse at 20-45 mph, and it feels like its in the driveline.

I crawled underneath and was able to see movement when I wiggled the driveshaft in the carrier bearing. My question is: Is this pretty much a text book explanation for a bad carrier bearing?

Thanks!
