Another clunk noise
Ok I have searched for hours to find out what this could be but all I find is similar but different situations.
Its a 99 f250 with a S-406E axle which I beleive is a 10.5 open diff, the issue is that when I go over bumps or even when im turning at speed on a curve the rear starts to clunk clunk clunk around the corner. There is absolutely no play when shifting from drive to reverse or when braking and accelerating. It sounds like something to do with the axle or posibly the driveshaft, almost sounds like metal on metal. Any suggestions are appreciated.
