anyone any good with front ends

hey all ok question i have a crazy chirping metal to metal scraping sound on the driver side around fast slight turns maybe 30-45 degrees this sound started right after i smoked a caliper and replaced it i just did ball joints and dust seal and all that on the passenger side any clues would be greatly appriciated

maybe your race is spinning on your outer axle shaft is sounds nasty could also be hub bearings going out. i did my front diff did ball joints hub bearings outer axle shafts from yukno and all new seals races and bearings made a big difference.

Bent backing plate? Really the only thing you would have been around when replacing the caliper.

Kind sounds like your wheel hub bearings. Jack up your front end and see if there is play with your wheel/tire. If it moves most likely the bearings. Mine went out and started off sounding like what you are describing, good luck.

I kinda figured herring what are these races I took it all apart before on pass sided and did not see any races I do know there was no on the driver side

I would guess either hub or really warped rotor... is there a vibration too, or just the noise?

No vibration at all there are some chunks gone in the back of the rotor from how ever long ago not to bad though

Boys im pretty stumped on this one would yall say its safe to just replace the hub berring and see if that works any now where I can get one at a good price its not the and one so I can save some cost there

I hate throwing parts at vehicles but O'Reilly Auto Parts sells them for less that $125 here.

I mean I have been driving the truck and nothing major I also hate just trying parts but i mean they go anyway so more good then bad right i hope its the shild rubbing the caliper
