E 99 torque convertor bad

I've got a early 99 f-350 with a torque convertor starting to go. Was thinking of possibly getting a 6.0 torque convertor or a rev max convertor any opinions? Truck has 4" MPRP, DIY intake. Was going to buy some gauges so I could see what was going on but the torque convertor noise is starting to drive me nuts. Truck is used during the week and is used on weekends to pull 44' enlcosed trailer. Would like to get a torque convertor without rebuilding trans or doing any major modifications. Looking at not spending over $500 what would you recommend?

thanks
