4x4 Concern?

I have a 2000 psd 250 4x4 extended cab and tonight i backed into parking space and rear spun so i threw it into 4hi light came on i could feel it lock in but only rear spun.. so i put into N and go 4lo and hear it engage and yet again only rears spin? it's late so i didnt mess with it any ideas? it worked a few days ago.. lights came on and everything...

This might sound dumb but do you have manual locking hubs? on my 2000 F250 PSD i have manual hubs.

its electronic on the dash... ive never off roaded it so not sure..

The clicking you are hearing is the actual transfer case engaging. The reason the 4x4 isn't working is because, 1. You have manual hubs that have to be turned to the lock position or, 2. You have auto hubs that aren't working do to a vacuum leak. Does your heat work properly, as in does it come out the vents on the dash when on that setting or does it always come out of the defrost vent?

I'm an idiot it was cause i didnt move to allow it to engage i guess you need to move a foot or two to engage
