The dust covers on both sides of my 05 are doing the same thing and my fathers 04 also. From what I looked up there pretty famous for doing it.

What did new shafts cost?

Yea, an easy fix but,,, why would anyone spend the money for a new Knuckle Seal and go to all the trouble to replace a dust seal that's just going to do it again
It does next to nothing, find something else your truck needs to work on

They keep the front differential fluid in, If they leak and your differential runs dry your ****ed. Then you'll have something to spend your money on i guess.
