Front Diff Leak?

So just in the last week I have noticed a small leak from my front diff on my 95 stroker. I have determined that it most certainly is diff fluid that is leaking, but I cannot tell where from. I swabbed the Diff clean and it took 12 hours or more to produce the usual amount of driveway stain, (approx 2 inch diameter stain) with a bit of build up on the bottom of the diff casing.

2 questions. What should be the protocol for stopping this leak(im hoping just a diff case seal) and second, would you guys hesitate to leave on a roadtrip(1500 miles rountrip) with this problem occuring? thanks

could be the pinion seal. or maybe the breather hose has come loose or has a hole in it. As long as you keep an eye on the fluid level you should be fine on a road trip.

whats the easiest way to check that fluid level? And like I said a drip or two a day probably won't be depleting my reservoir too quick...

There should be a fill plug on it. If it is not on the cover it will be on the diff housing. Take the plug out and fluid should be just as high as fill hole.
