Engine revs normally but no response from the tranny, unless I lock it in 4 low. Then I can move it backwards a little, but if I'm on a hill or have a trailer, no way.
Could it possibly be shift solenoids in the 4R100 for reverse?
I replaced some in my old F150 with the 4R70W when I didn't have a first gear one day.
Drive and overdrive work fine. I also noticed I can't feel any difference when I downshift from OD/D down to 2 or down to 1.
And I just had the tranny rebuilt last september...
Anyone experience this before?
