possible speed sensor problem?

On the way home today, my speedometer stopped working, no movement or anything. The odometer will not turn either. However, all the other gauges work fine. At the same time, the overdrive off light is flashing on and off. I'm thing its maybe the speed sensor but not sure. Any input guys?

Sounds like it, that's what happened when mine went out. Cheap part, around $15 at Napa.
