trk wants to lock up backin out garage

03 f250 4wd wants to lock up or come to a stop backing out of my garage. Give it some gas pedal and it backs up fine thus far. Thought I noticed leaving the church parking lot this morning pulling out forward a little clunk. don't have a clue if this is something serious?

Do you use your parking brake regularly? It sounds like it is hanging up. I would investigate the condition of the cables and the hardware to which they fasten. Everything must be freely movable, or what you describe can happen.

As an aside, regarding my original question to you, using the parking brake regularly helps that system function correctly longer than not using it.

I just noticed your post was from June. I hope you have discovered the cause and resolved it by now.

Thanks for responding to my question. Probably haven't used my parking brakes three or four times - will definitely check it out - thanks again for givin me some things to look at.
