inner axle seals?

So i just got my truck back from ford, usually do all my maitinance but schedule with school, i needed it done quick. so i got the usual raping from the dealership.. and now they tell me i should replace my inner axle seals and its gonna cost 1500... is this price outrageous or what?

Well, it's dealership pricing,,,

But it is a fair amount of work. The ft. hubs are pulled, axles slid out, the diff pulled apart (yup, the carrier & ring gear in your hand), all to replace those seals.

How bad's that leak???? You might want to consider adding some fluid every once and a while. It's not like they're dumping fluid on you brakes as they would in the rear....

yeah that was my plan till i save up some cash. Its not too bad, just some wettness showing on the passenger side
