Clunk in Reverse Manual Tranny

I am getting a clunking noise while I am in reverse. I will put the truck into reverse, let out the clutch and start moving as soon as I depress the clutch to disengage it makes a loud clunking noise. I sometimes hear this in first gear going forward, but it is much more prevalent in reverse, perhaps this is because I am always going much slower and disengage the clutch frequently?
