Bleeding master clutch.......

I just replace the master clynder and it isn't building any pressure at all..... i tried for quite awhile and nothing.... I pushed my truck down a little hill and jumped in and ran a couple red lights to get it home but the clutch is still not working as it should.... just wondering how i should go about now by trying to bleed it since everything is hooked up.... I have read here on a forum that if you let it set over night that it might help it out alot but i guess that will have to do for now.... hopefully someone would be able to help me to get this wokring again...........

Ryan

the easiest way to bleed those is to apply air to the cap at a little hole in the top of the cap , but you have to be very careful, why this works is the air you apply to cap swells the rubber insert inside the reservoir like a balloon forcing fluid down to the bottom and pushes air out , this process does work but if you apply to much air , guess what BOOM cap blows off and makes a mess , like i say , apply slight air pressure to hole in cap, pump pedal a few times , apply air again ,pump pedal , do that a few times and pedal should come up by the way , what marc told you about the ford stuff is correct , it may be more expensive but it is nice just to snap it in place and your done , dont know what you paid for the napa parts ,ford price on their kit is usually around 140.00 but its worth it
