two things..OD and Cargo lights

Okay, I have two things I can't figure out. One is the OD switch on the gear lever don't work. I took off the switch and it looks fine. I took off the steering collar cover and looked at the wire coming out of the lever and it looked fine. I have checked all of my fuses they are fine. I can’t get it to come on.

Second is the cargo light. I put a bulb in it because they were missing and now I know why they were missing. They come and stay on without turning them on. I can't get them to go off. any ideas? Signature is what I have.

Double check the wire on the gearshift lever. I had to replace mine recently because my O/D quit working. Found it because #45 fuse on my 2002 blew and traced it to exposed wire on the gearshift lever. Your trucks fuse would be #19.

Definatley Double Check the gear shift lever, it seems to be a weak spot. My 05 F350 Had a pinched wire in a place hard to see with the steering column covers off, so did my Dad's 02 F350.
