Front end questions
Ok guys I keep getting a thumping noise from my front end when I am slowing down. Cant tell if its there when I am driving. I just checked my track bar, crossover shaft, shock mounts, u bolts, etc. I am unsure of what this can be. It is seeming to get worse as well. It also seems to sound like its coming from something close to my wheel. As I slow down the thumping slows down with my deceleration. Thanks for any help in advance.

Found it
I will post up a pic. The guy that installed the dual shock kit before i got it didnt put the kit on correctly. He didnt put the sleeves in the tops of the shocks so it was just on the bushing itself and they are now gone.

I have come to the conclusion that these trucks have a bag of marbles underneath the front end. lol... Or at least every one of these with greater than 50k miles has SOME sort of front end noise

From body shop experience, there is a part of the frame that is riveted together towards the front. The rivets will sometimes work themselves a bit loose, really no danger just an annoyance.
