4WD Problem
I've had this truck for a little over a week, and I had to use 4WD for the first time yesterday. I THINK it work twice, but the third time, the transfer case kicked in but the front end wouldn't move. I know my right side auto locker doesn't work, but I locked it in, but the left side wouldn't work either. I'm going to lube the left side and try to get it to lock manually, but is there anything else that could cause this? There is a "clunking" sound when I take off or hit bumps, but I assumed that was suspension. Can that have something to do with this? Sorry there's so much here, but I've never worked on anything with lockers.

by lockers do you mean the hubs? or the front diff actually has a locker in them?
put both hubs in lock mode and the transfercase in 2wd.... get under the truck and spin the drivehaft with your hand... you shouldnt be able to spin it if the hubs are locked in manually... that will determine if its your hubs.. if it is i suggest upgrading them to Warn Premium hubs.. but you will lose the auto hub function with this.. hope that helps.. -Raul |

Yeah, I meant hubs. Sorry. New to this. I'll do that. I'm going to put it up on the lift at work and check everything over later today. My dad had it up Friday but he didn't check any of the 4WD. Thanks Raul.
