tranny lines

I have a small pin hole leak in the trans line under the radiator. Its definately the line.There are 2 lines there. One already had a hose clamp on it with some rubber.(looks stock) The other looks like a hi pressure line. I dont think they are all that high pressure?? Any way, thats the one with the leak. Can I cut out about 6 inches of metal line and install good rubber hose and double clamp each side? Or for some reason is it really high pressure. No leaks by the rear of the trans. Its all right under the radiator. I can easily get at it. To verify the leak spot i wrapped paper towel around a certain area and zip tied it tightly there in place. That towel is red now but all around it is dry.

Anyone? need to know if i can use a tubing cutter and cut off some pipe and add rubber hose? I think i can But want to make sure.
